The Hangout Spot provides specialized play and social skills instruction rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis. What sets them a part from other centers is that they combine science and fun to help children learn and grow. As they were preparing to open their first center, founders Justyna Balzar and Meghan Cave asked me to to develop a brand identity.

Through a series of workshops, we defined the brand’s character, the arena in which it exists, as well as what makes The Hangout Spot unique among other centers. The outcome from these workshops provided a framework to begin exploring what a visual identity should be, what was appropriate for the Hangout Spot and avoid clichés used by other centers in the space.
