I'm currently a lead UX designer at IBM Research AI at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown, NY. There, I'm fortunate to work alongside scientists and engineers who are constantly pushing the boundaries of what's technologically possible, and in many cases inventing the technology itself.
Previously, I was an art director and designer at Hyperakt in Brooklyn. There I worked with organizations who are passionate about social issues and are working hard to create change. Leading teams, I align strategy with design to help our clients tell their story both online and off. While at Hyperakt I've had to the pleasure to work with great people at: ClimateWorks Foundation, Ford Foundation, GOOD Magazine, iMentor, NAACP, Regional Plan Association, TED, Unicef and Vera Institute of Justice.
Before focusing on design, I was an editorial and children's book illustrator. A recent side project born from my illustration background was Smidge Co., a pop up card company. Through Smidge Co. I had the opportunity to sell my cards in stores across the country including the MoMA Store, as well as participating in a partnership between Etsy and the American Museum of Natural History.
Outside of design I enjoy spending time with my wife Robin, daughter Charly and our dog Utah, getting out into nature, eating good BBQ and planning our next adventure.
