The Regional Plan Association, RPA, is an urban research and advocacy organization working in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut metropolitan region. Over its 90 year history it has been involved in some of the region's most important public works and economic development projects.
RPA's Fourth Regional Plan, A Region Transformed, will propose investments and policies to ensure the region's success to all residents in years and decades ahead. Working closely with RPA, Hyperakt created the brand identity and content strategy for A Region Transformed.
The identity uses the basic geometry of a triangle, rectangle and circle to communicate the essential nature of the fourth plan. These three shapes create a visual system based on prosperity, connection and resiliency. The brand is about dynamic shapes and tangible outcomes, depicting a future that is both inspiring and grounded.
